Are there any mosques in or around sharm el sheik to visit? I will be vacationing there in October and would like to visit one.

There are mosques all over Egypt, even deep down in the desert. Sharm has several.

I'm not really sure you'll be allowed to visit a mosque in Sharm, except if you tell them that you live in Egypt or study Arabic. They are usually very wary of Western tourists. In any case, if you try your luck, make sure to come dress decently (no shorts).
Anyway, the beautiful mosques are all in Cairo, and these can be visited easily as an individual travellers.
