Im going to visit the C.Republic and surrounding area in August.
im interested in live music festivals, nightlife and I want to travel countries south of there too and wondered if there was any advice about a train ticket,if it needed to be bought in advance or not. thankyou Mookie |

There is no need to buy train tickets in advance. You can usually just turn up when you are ready to travel and you'll get on. There are some trains where you are required to make a booking but this can be done a few minutes before you board so long as there are still seats available. I usually reserve my seat for the next journey when I arrive in a place, unless of course I'm not sure of my plans at that stage. You can always pop in to the station a day or two in advance if you are particularly concerned about having a reservation. If you book too far in advance, you are locked in to those times and you leave yourself with no option for change.
