Malta can offer 5,000years of history spanning from prehestoric times with world best stone age temples through Historical places, fortifications and museums,One of the famous events in history is the great siege event which happened in 1565 where Malta withstood the turkish invasion of 50,000 turks which saved europe from the turks advancement and after a few months they left empty handed with more or less half the army and their leader killed.
The fotifications on the island are massive and impresive especially in Valletta,Mdina and the tree cities.

The sea is clean both on sandy or rocky beaches and especially in the island of comino( the smallest of the three islands) is fantastic clear.
Restaurants and nightlife is great especially in St Julians.

Airport and transport is very cheap and the Maltese are very helpfull and can communicate in most languages.
Malta is rather safe at all times and easy to go around from one place to another.

Our language is called semetic & romantic cause of the arabic and european content because of different rulers over the hundred of years on the island considering that Malta was considered as a very good base in the centre of the meditteranean.
As you can see Malta offer more than just a few churches but it always depend on the time one have to go around.
Should you need any more help just ask..
Enjoy

Hi Lyn.

Undoubtedly you are a lovely person.
Unfortunately committing oneself to help a stranger without being able to decipher anything from their homepage is uncomfortable.

Suggest you search out members pages to give you an insight on the island first.
Suggest you read "The great Siege of Malta" by Ernil Bradford.
Suggest a little fill in your homepage to help me help you.
Going beyond this site into an email situation does not work for me.

Unlike Cavite Cowboy I find the place magical.
In collusion with RockAria, I suspect you will be enthralled by the little rock.

Malta secludes the oldest known temples in the world, both the under and above ground types.
Walled-cities overlook harbours.
400 year old Towers protect remote coves.
Prehistoric habitation is obvious in many places.
Natural and man-made oddities and surprises lurk behind every corner.

There is also a cemetery where many a NewZelander, who died protecting this island in WWII, are buried.

Best of luck.
