Hi,
I did a bit of research and provided some links for you to have a look at. Bridgewater B&B on Margaret river seems nice:

But I am not sure of your price range so I'll provide a link of a few options:

Hope you find something you like and I hope you and your family have a fantastic time!!
Jasmine :)

This is the place we always stay at when we visit Margaret River. It's simple but comfortable with everything you need for a few days. You can walk into town but it's very secluded. There is one bedroom and a single bed in a small alcoved room (no door)quite suitable for a small child.

It's school holidays so you might have difficulty getting acconnodation. Also, prices may go up a bit at that time. This website http://www.margaretriver.com/lastminute.asp
lists all the accommodation available for the following two weeks, you can't book through it any earlier than 14 days before you need a place but you might find it useful to keep note of it if you find you haven't found somewhere by that time.

Sorrento Beach Resort is a good option, especially if you plan to hire a car. It's out of the city, but with easy access to all sorts of places. Sorrento Quays is a popular entertainment area - lots of shops, restaurants, safe beach, ferry to Rottnest, aqwa (aquarium)all right on the doorstep

This website will give you an idea of availability and prices for late September through to early October

"Margarets Forest" in the heart of Margaret River township (but set back and very quiet!!) would be a good choice.

As previously mentioned "Sorrento Beach Resort" a good option ( I live 10 mins from there!!).
