Just wondering, what the weather is like in early December?
Is it an expensive time to book accomodation and when do school hol's start? Just got an email from Virgin Blue with some cheap flights... Thanks guys Betty |

Well the weather in early December will be hot and humid...mid 30's.
The school holidays usually start about the middle of December except for the grade 12's. They get off about 2 weeks earlier. Be aware that December is coming up to cyclone season. However still a good time to visit though more chance of rain at that time. Of course it can rain at any time really....if you need more help send me an email...

Hi The Whitsundays are a fabulous destination and I would visit in December, it will be high 20s some days close to 30C but there is water everywhere to cool down. Just make certain your accommodation is airconditioned.
We have holiday on Hamilton Island, a great place, check out photos on my pages. . School holidays commence mid December.

It is usually dry that time of year but you can never promise. Early December will be safer. I remember Xmas around 6 years ago and it was certainly a tropicl wet xmas. Power was out and trying to cook the chrissy turkey an a webber isn't easy. Funnily enough it was our first year with traditional xmas food instead of the salads we usually go for, it was also our last attampt at tradition.
If you do visit and you though Hamilton Island was nice wait until you see the ral Whitsundays they will blow your socks off.

Flights are booked for 5th December, can't wait!!! I don't even care if it rains as long as it's hot hot hot! Staying in Airlie Beach, and hoping to meet any VT'ers from up there for a drink while I'm in town! Regards Betty
