| Jersey | New Years EVE Posted: Tue July 15, 2008 10:25 PM UTC
Hello
This is a similar post to one earlier but me & my wife will be staying in St Helier over New Year. Can you please tell me if the center of St Helier has any organised New Years Eve party's or fire works etc like back in the UK. I guess there would be. We are trying to find out if the Hotel we are staying at is doing anything special on New Years Eve but to be honest we would prefer to be in the St Helier center with the locals if there is any action. Also, can you recommend any decent restaurants such as Fish, Italian or Indian or any that are unique to Jersey? Its our wedding anniversary so a nice romantic meal is required. Many thanks Regards Gary |

Not too sure about the fireworks...we spent last New Year's Eve in Guernsey but they don't have anything like that. Jersey is bigger and Helier is a very lively town so there might be something.
Regarding a good restaurant: Roseville bistro has sublime seafood! http://www.donowdo.com/British-Restaurants/Rosevil It gets booked up pretty quick for the weekend! have a nice holiday!
