Doha	Doha Stopover Posted: Tue July 15, 2008 08:57 PM UTC I have an 8 hour stopover in Doha on the 20th of december, and was just trying to find out whether I will be able to have a bot of a nosy around the city to get out the airport. Would this be possible? Would I need a transit visa on a British Passport? And if a transit is possible, how long is the journey into the city from the airport? You don't need a visa if you are a UK citizen, but if you have an Israeli stamp in your passport they won't let you in.
It's only a short taxi ride to the centre, no more than 10 minutes if I remember rightly.
