| Buenos Aires | Aeroparque airport check in times Posted: Tue July 15, 2008 12:28 PM UTC
Hi there,
I'm getting there by taxi or remise and I want to make sure the check in desks are not a long walk away - is the terminal quite small?. When checking in (with LAN), is the last check in time half an hour before flight departure? Thanks |

Lan advice is to arrive to the Aeroparque one hour before departure. As they dont have lots of departures at the same time, you will do it very quickly. You can do the check-in through internet, and in this way you only have to leave your luggage at a certain post of LAN.
Then you go to the upper floor, common to every departure from the Aeroparque.

Check in is very close to the point were you will be dropped off by a taxi/remise.
For other information see the website of the airport: http://www.aa2000.com.ar/index.php happy travels Jaap

the check in area is just 20meters from the taxi drop point. you can do the online checking up to 2 hrs before departure and if you havent got any luggages then you can arrive just at the time of boarding... if you leave close to the airport, check online to see the flight status as there is a lot of delay problems lately and better be in a comfortable sofa at home than stuck at the airport.......

Get there early... I've stood in line for over an hour trying to check in (on LAN).

Thanks for your feedbacks. As I be arriving at Retiro Terminal at 13:47 by Andsemar coach, then getting a taxi to Aeroparque, do you think this would be a rush to get the LAN flight to Iguazu which departs at 16:16? If I did the online checkin - is there internet I can use at Retiro? Is the online checkin both in Spanish and English?

From Retiro bus station to Aeroparque, it will take you no more than 15min. The main problem would be if the bus does not arrive in time.
To help you in your schedule, dont be in a hurry to give away your luggage to the bus luggage storage (I dont know the exact word in english); the man who will take the luggages out of the bus when in Retiro station, should take out yours sooner. You can make the check-in 24 hours before the departure (maybe earlier than this, I dont remember). Check this in the web page. They may tell in the web-page if there are check-in terminals in the Aeropuerto´s hall. Due to the huge amount of foreign passengers, it is very probable to have the text in english.

Thanks, just wondering how reliable the Andsemar buses are - are they usually on time allowing for 5/10 mins delay?
When I leave the bus at Retiro, are the taxis on the same level or do I have to go to a different level?

I dont know how reliable they are by themselves. Most of the time it depends on the hour of the day when the bus enters the Panamericana, or another acceses to the city.
You have to go down to the lower level to get to the taxis.
