What is the most southern part of Alaska accessible by automobile? By this, I mean by highway/road travel. Any input will be appreciated. Thanks.

By road, either Skagway or Haines. Or you can take a ferry from Prince Rupert, Canada, and go north to a variety of SE Alaskan towns.
Suggest the Milepost as a great publication about the drive. Gives mile by mile details of the Alcan Highway and all the roads within Alaska.
