Barcelona Good Food on a Sunday
Posted: Mon July 14, 2008 03:51 PM UTC
Hi Everyone,
We love Barcelona and have visited many times, we are visiting just for one day on a cruise at the end of the month and it is a Sunday..... so we can't visit our favourite restaurant (Gaig in the Cram Hotel)

We thought we would just pop to the beautiful market but that is shut too any ideas for food on a Sunday?

We were thinking of spending the day at Barceloneta will the restaurants along there be open on a Sunday? I have looked up Agua and that isn't open....

Thanks/Gracias/Moltes grącies

Agua does open on Sundays (I rarely have been there if not for Sunday lunch!)
Where did you look at? its website says than on Saturdays and Sundays it's open from 13 to 16;40 at midday

Indeed, I do like more Bestial from the same owners (in the same area). Their special plate of Mediterranean starters is to die for!

However, I'd probably head to Barceloneta Rest as Frachal suggested above (can't speak about Can Majo as never ate there), as having lunch at the Barceloneta area on Sunday is one of the most typical Barcelonese activities I can think of.

No way the restaurants of the seafront will close on Sundays, the problem is all will be packed! (so need to reserve if you want to ensure eating in any particular place)

Why don't you go down to the harbour/beach areas. There are plenty of great places there! Sorry, I can't recall any specific places...

Good luck!
