Hi,
Do you mean resevation from abroad? I think they have not offered that service yet.
However, It is common in Indonesia to buy bus ticket in advance at the bus operator counter or their office. So, for Rantepao ticket I think you can make the reservation while you are in the departure city.
I think you will depart from Makassar, so you can go to Makassar bus terminus and buy the ticket there.
Happy travelling!

Hi,
NO, you cannot book a bus ticket from abroad. Like the previous poster said, you can probably book when you arrive in Makassar.
There are lots of buses going to Rantepao. In November 2006 I caught the 1pm bus and it took about 8 hrs to arrive there. Suggest you get an early morning one so you can arrive in daylight. Great place to stay is Wisma Maria in Rantepao.
Guess you are hoping to see a funeral- lots of guides in Rantepao who can take you to witness one- amazing scene. Remember you will need to take a small gift- your guide will help you to choose something. I took some cigarettes on my guide's advice.
Wishing you a wonderful trip.
Pamela.

when you arrive in Makassar, directly go to Terminal Regional Daya (bus station), there are buses heading to Rantepao. It costs 150.000 - 200.000 IDR/person. Agree with Pamela, offering cigarettes is good choice. Enjoy your trip.
