Hanoi Hanoi to Sapa trains
Posted: Sun July 13, 2008 08:39 AM UTC
Hi all!

need some suggestions regarding train services to Sapa. I'm soooo tempted to book the Victoria Express, but it's waaayyy too expensive.

Anyone with experiences on these trains? I was looking at Royal and Livitrans trains.... are they any good?

thanks!!

Livitrans is the second one after the Victoria.
You can buy the tickets at any agent such as Sinhcafe or Vietnam Sunrise Travel or Bufalo...

Have a nice trip!

I agree with tilnor, King Express is best. Only guests at Victoria Hotel can book the Victoria train, and Livitrans is nothing special (I also took it one way, but liked King Express better). You'll save by buying ticket in country. I paid $25. for King, $30. for Livitrans at Adventure Indochina in Hanoi. Livitrans is supposed to be brand new/deluxe, but I disagree (maybe new in '05?)

Hi,
Right, Victoria train is too expensive...and you only take it if you stay at its hotel...
Royal or Livitrans is correct.Don't worry about securities or services.
