Hi there, Since you will also be visiting Macau and Shen Zhen, I would allow a day each for those two trips. I've only been to Hong Kong so I can give you and three day intinerary for HK.

1. Take the MTR to Tung Chung station, you'll have to transfer I believe at Tsing Yi station to Tung chung. Tung Chung is on Lantau Island. From the MTR station walk across the large courtyard and you'll see signs for eithe the sky rail or #23 but to Tian Tan Buddha (the big buddha). Take either one and visit the Buddha, Po Lin Monastery and Wisdom Path. If you go in the morning, it will be later in the after noon by the time you've visited these sights. From there take the bus #23 back to Tung Chung and you can do a little shopping while there. Then back to Kowloon, and walk the Avenue of the stars and watch the Symphony of Lights show at 8:00 p.m. along the waterfront.

2. You can either take the half day tour or do this on your own. The half day tour includes, Victoria Peak, Aberdeen Fishing Village - where you can take a ride on a sampan around the village, Repulse Bay, Stanley - where you'll find bargain shopping and the Hong Kong Jewelry factory where you''ll also find some amazing bargains. For dinner head off to the Grand Hyatt Hotel and have an amazing Italian dinner at Grissini's. Or, head off to the Lan Kwai Fong area of Hong Kong Island for some nightlife..

3. Take a morning cruise along Victoria Harbor with the Star Cruise line. This has to be booked in advance so try and book it when you arrive in HK. You can book it at the star ferry terminal in Kowloon. Then the rest of the day you can check out the museums - the art, history, science and space museums. Then and walk through Kowloon Park, MTR from Jordan station to Wong Tai Sin station and visit Wong Tai Sin Temple. Then back to Kowloon and maybe visit temple street night market and do some shopping and a walk along Nathan and Canton Roads for more shopping.

For budget hotels, try the BP International, The Royal Pacific, The Kimberly, Dorsett Seaview all on Kowloon. If you want to stay on Hong Kong Island try the Gardenview International House which is right next to the Botanical Gardens and near Hong Kong Park which are also great places to visit. Also, when arriving at HK airport make sure to buy an Octopus Card. You can take either the Airport Express of City Flyer either A21 bus if staying in Kowloon or A11 bus if staying in Hong Kong Island.
