| Paris | Paris CDG termianl bus shuttle !!!!!! Posted: Fri July 11, 2008 10:50 PM UTC
Hey there
I'll have my flight to paris on sunday the 10th of august using Tarom coming from Bierut, and then anohter flight to bremen via Frankfurt on Lufthansa on the same day. Tarom uses terminal 2B while Lufthana uses T1 . so i need to make a transfer between T2B and T1 ! i have read about this CDGVAL light rail, but i dont know where should i take it from ? i should get my baggage then go outside T2B and wait there for the bus or what? what should i do ? Please Help thanks a lot in advance |

Very simple. Get off the plane, clear customs, pick up your luggage and follow directions to shuttle for T1 just outside the terminal. You shouldn't have to wait more than 5 minutes. Get off at T1 and go to your registration desk. Voila.
Have a pleasant flight.

After picking up your luggage, you will exit the restricted area and just look for a sign for shuttle buses. The buses come around every 5 minutes or so. You should see people queuing up for it. Once inside the bus, there will be very clear instructions as to what the next stop is. Just get off at T1. Here is a map to help you visualize the different terminals. It is really easy.

I don't understand advice given above - it should not be necessary to "clear customs"!! If your connection is within less than 24 hours, you should be able to check your baggage all the way through to to Bremen when you check in at Beirut. It should not be necessary to collect it in Paris as this would require you to check in again for the Lufthansa flight. At worst, if they can't already give you a boarding pass in Beirut, you would have to get this in the transit area at CDG before you transfer to Terminal 1.
Also, according to this, CDGVAL replaces the shuttle buses between terminals (not the ones to the RER station): http://www.easycdg.com/pages/cdgval_light_railpag.html Either way, just follow the signs to "transfer Terminal 1 (etc." from Terminal 2, see http://www.easycdg.com/pages/cdg_terminal_2_pagepag.html

Here are the instructions on the CDG official web site.
Your connection leaves from Paris-CDG1 - For an international flight: take the Aéroports de Paris free shuttle (air side) located near the transfer desk. - For a flight within France or the Schengen Area: - Follow the "Sortie Exit" signs, - Go through Customs and Immigration, - Take the Aéroports de Paris shuttle (CDGVAL) Here's the CDG web site to check all your options. http://www.aeroportsdeparis.fr/Adp/en-GB/Passagers

hey there
what you don't know is that the ticket beirut-paris (round trip) is seperate from the ticket paris-bremen( round trip) so i have to collect my baggage . last year in madrid airport i did the same and i had to change the terminal to go to Dusseldorf on lufthansa , but it was so easy becasue the bus was waiting outside the terminal ! but this year in paris it is so confusing because i dont know yet what to take : the bus or the CDGVAL ! but i think it would be easy to manange when im there. so if anyone has additional info about the difference between the buses and the CDGVAL tell me please . THANKS FOR THE PREVIUOS REPLIES

To reiterate:
- For a flight within France or the Schengen Area: - Follow the "Sortie Exit" signs, - Go through Customs and Immigration, - Take the Aéroports de Paris shuttle (CDGVAL) From Paris to Bremen you ARE in the Schengen Area. If you check the web site I gave above, there is a map of the airport if you are more comfortable looking at a diagram. There are people to help you when you disembark and there is an information desk if you have problems. There are also signs all over the place. You should have no trouble. Relax and enjoy your trip. 8^)
