| Shanghai | Cheongsam Tailor Posted: Fri July 11, 2008 09:09 AM UTC
Hi, I am dropping by Shanghai in early Dec. Most prob staying at the bund area. I would like to tailor a few pieces of cheongsam. Any one has a good, honest and reasonably priced tailor to recommend? Preferably in town or accessible by metro. Thanks

Cheongsam is the term used in HongKong and maybe in Guangdong.
Elsewhere in China it is called the QIPAO. Sorry I do not have any tailor to recommend, try several tailors to guage the fair price to pay. Regards.

No specific recommendation, but you should try at the South Bund Fabric Market, at 399 Lujiabang Lu (junction with Nancang Jie). The nearest metro stop is Lujiabang on line 8 (blue). Look on http://www.exploreshanghai.com/metro for an interactive map of Shanghai's metro system.
