Neijiang Quad room is larger than East Dragon , It's also renovated, therefore "New" and cheaper ( I think - NTD2380/- nett with Breakfast-sandwich and packet drink) My friends go out for Taiwan Breakfast and keep the sandwich and drink for snacking later.

Taipei need further help with travel to taipei

tks for your recommendation.

I saw your advise to those visiting yeliou, jiufen, jinguashi... can i have a sense of how long each bus trip takes? I read in another forum about this trip and it is alittle different from yours. would you be able to comment on the following route: take train to ruifang from taipei main station, change bus (keelung/jinggushih line) to jingusshih. from JGS change bus (keelung/jgs line) to jioufen. From jiufen, take bus(keelung/jingusshih (jgs)line) to keelung, then change bus (keelung/jingshi line) to yeliou. from yeliou, take bus (keelung/jingshi line) to keelung, miaokow market. I'm exploring the best/shortest/direct way to go to these places as i have a 3 year old traveling with me.

Do you have any contacts for any MPV taxi services in Hualien that can take 4 adults and 3 children to taroko gorge?

thank you.

Hi,

Actually, I always do Yeliou frst in the Morning as it is on one side of Keelung then I go to Keelung Jinguashi, Jioufen which is on the other side of Keelung (Keelung being in the center.)However, you might want to hire :Meeky Yang
meeky589@yahoo.com.tw or msn meeky.yang@hotmail.com
His number is 886-921-915586 - Yeliu, Shifen, Jiufen , Jinguashi , BiTou Jiao, Keelung. e.t.c. Rate could be NTD4,000 for a 9am to 9pm day or so. Has a New Wish car that could fit all of you comfortably. BVery experienced Driver , known to Singaporeans.

For Hualien you can call: Mr Lu Lai Fu
886-9-2856-9081 : Check the Rate and he will meet you at the HGualien Railway station. It is best you take the 6.45 train from taipei to Hualien to make the most of your time in Hualien and take an evening train back to Taipei after the tour. You can rest in the train going both ways. Enjoy the Railway Lunch/Dinner Box. It's very nice.

Taipei at hualien
Posted: Sun July 27, 2008 09:24 AM UTC
thanks so much for all the info. will definitely check with meeky. I was actually thinking of taking a train to hualien, engage Mr Lu to tour taroko gorge (as your suggestion) and stay at stone minshu for a night or 2. Is there anything interesting to do near stone minshu?

Also wondering if i should plan to go to hualien towards the end of our taipei trip then from hualien go to cks airport and fly back to singapore. Would you know how to get to airport from hualien easily? tks again.

Hi,

I would come to Taipei for the last night unless you have an afternoon or evening flight. Then you can take the Train to Taipei and the a bus from outside The Taipei Station to the Airport.

You can check with Ms. Liu: You can go Whitewater rafting or Whale / Dolphin watching - Both inexpensive but nice day trips.

Check out this Local Govt website for further information:
