We three, are off to Seville in early October 2008, "should be cooling down by then" we will be travelling by car and entering from Huelva's direction,
I thought that maybe Triana would be a good place to stay, we do not really wish, to drive around the city, as we've read its petty bad!
Can anyone recommend a Hostal or hotel?
I have spotted an apartment for 22Euros/each/night, but was wondering where we could park the car?
Wolud it be easy to walk to the sights?

Sorry that I cannot recommend a hostel in Sevilla for you, we chose to stay in Carmona (about 30 kilometers east) and drive in.
But about parking.....There is a river that runs through the town and seperates it into two. The old town is adjacent to the river and there are several parking garages along that main throughfare. From there the town is easy walking distance. Write to the tourist bureau in Sevilla and they will send you a map that shows the parking garages.
We did drive around the city, it is not worse than any other big city that I have driven in, although if you do not use the parking garages, then parking can be an "adventure".

I parked my car in the city centre in such a parking garage - not because I did not want to use the car (I did) but because I wanted to have it at a safe place at night.

safe parking is a must. Seville is the only place in Europe where we have suffered a car breakin. If you are renting take all the insurances. We were fully covered for the damages.

The police in Huelva area blanket the expressway looking for tourists to ticket. Vehicles are unmarked. Fines must be paid in cash on the spot. If you do not have enough money to pay the fine, the police will happily escort you to an ATM machine.
