i would like to change my sign-in name, can I?

Not as far as I am aware, otherwise I would have done so long ago (am not fond of my username).

You can create a new account with a new name, but you'd have to copy & paste text & re-upload photos; I don't think your pages could be transferred across.

The OP doesn't have much in the way of pages yet.

There are cases where this has been allowed, but unless it is more than just not liking the name, they probably won't do it.

I'm not recommending it, but some people (like my sister) have two accounts because she couldn't remember how she signed in the first time.

It is not possible to have a username changed (unless, as previously mentioned, you make a good case for it and then, I would imagine, it would be for a long-standing member).

I suggest that you sign up with a new name (there are no pages linked to your current name and your homepage has not been built yet) and then e-mail feedback@virtualtourist.com and say that you have take a different name as you do not want to use the one you originally signed up with and that they can delete that name.
