Is there a way to find info. on the National Parks ?~ when I do a search nothing comes up. Should I just start a new thread under N. America?

Thanks for your suggestions. I see now that if I change the drop down box
next to "search" from DESTINATIONS to KEYWORD, then enter National Parks,
many discussions pop up. I am really looking for personal experiences and comments rather than info. from the NPS site. Thank you.

You can also go to Google, select Advanced Search, enter virtualtourist.com in the domain name at the last box and whatever search text you are inquiring about. Google has a nice search engine which works well on most other sites.

Almost all the National Parks are listed on VT, and some other National Park Service sites like Battlefields, Military Parks, Parkways, Wildlife Refuges, River Parks, Monuments, Historic Park, and even some Recreation Areas

You just have to search on each park name that you are interested in. mrclay2000 has a lot of them listed http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/m/4e7ae/

Also keep in mind that there didn't used to BE National Park pages in VT, so some older pages may be in other locations.

type "national park, united states" into the destination search box....you'll get a whole bunch

That doesnt work for me.

I get "no matches".

Use the search box top right. Leave destinations as the selection.

you get tons of matches!!!!

Although not all of them are in the US. It picks up national parks in Canada and other countries too. Most of the USA ones are at the top, but not all.

Make sure you don't put 's' on Park. Naturally it shows the results of full match (with United States), then the list goes to National Park names without United States (ie rest of world). That is that nature of most search engines.
