We arrived by plane in Santiago, Chile on 01/17/2009, we have make a reservation in Valparaiso, Casa Hostal 199B&B the same day.
The 01/18/2009 we take the boat for a cruise. What will be the easyest and cheapest way to go from Santiago airport to our hotel ? Can we make reservations in advance ? Please give us an answer. Thanks and kindly greatings Wardsimons. |

Hi
Frankly I'd take a taxi ---but make sure that you agree the price first! I would suggest that you ask the cab driver to drive you around Valp first ---the old city is beautiful! Really, this is the best option...and the exchange rate must be okay! Have fun! crazyman2

The company Andes Pacifico is very reliable and can be booked in advance. They charge around US$100 to Valparaiso from the airport, see www.andespacifico.cl/index.php. Unfortunately the site is only in Spanish.

As you exit the luggage area of the airport, there will be 3 travel desks. Choose the one for TurBus and purchase a ticket to the Pajaritos bus terminal which is a short ride away.
At this terminal, you will transfer to the bus for Valparaiso. The buses leave every few minutes and the total cost will be around 10 pesos/pp including the bus from the airport. This is a very safe and very easy way to get to Valparaiso. The buses are excellent and have alot of storage under the bus for the luggage.
