THANKS tuff & newbie320!
Hi! Thanks so much for all the help=) Hope you can help me again. We're from the Philippines, we'll be in Hong Kong from August 2 to 4 =) 1. What MTR stop should we get off from to watch the Symphony of Lights 2. What is the location of Symphony of Lights 3. How can we get to the Symphony of Lights from Peninsula Hotel,Salisbury Road, Kowloon, Hong Kong, SAR. 4. What is the Best Place to Get Hong Kong Dollars$? 5. Is it at the Airport and just withdraw from the ATM's or should we bring dollars and have it exchanged from HK$ to US$? Thank you! |

The Symphony of Lights starts at 8pm and lasts for 30mins. You can view it best if you're along the harbor. If I remember right, from Peninsula, cross the street to the HK Cultural Center where the clock tower is and choose an open spot where you can sit.

Ans:
1. tsim sha tsui 2. victoria harbour 3. walk 4. Banks. They have higher rates than local money changers but they charge service fee if you are not an account holder with them. Hotels can exchange, too but they have lower rates. Exchange rates at the airport are also low. 5. Just bring USD and have it exchanged in the money changer in HK. They also exchange PHP to HKD. You can also buy some HKD at the local money changer here in Manila. =)
