Hi there. Me and my wife will be on a trip to croatia next September. We will visit Split, Dubrovnik and we will stay also in Brac island for 3 nights. We were thinking to spend a day in Hvar if possible.. Is there a ferry from Brac to Hvar? If so, how long does it take to get there?
2 - does anyone knows what is the cheapest way to rent a car in Splitdowntown? Is it cheaper to rent it locally "in loco", or rent it before going trough the internet? Eatherway, what is the cheapest place? Thank you very much for your help! Pedro (from Lisbon) |

Check www.jadrolinija.hr for ferry information.
In september you should be able to get good deal on car, locally as well as on the Internet, so i would recommend locally, then you can rent in the morning on the days where you actually need it.

Brac is a fairly large island so the best way to Hvar will depend on where exactly you are staying. From Bol there are excursion boats running daytrips to Hvar town, this may turn out to have a better schedule than a regular ferry. You'll see them advertised when you're there.
