Santander Plymouth Santandar Ferry Need a Room?

I was considering a side trip before a conference in Bristol. The Brittany Ferry to Santandar seems a great choice. Do you need a room or could you go without considering the wide array of facilities on the ferry.

I use this ferry crossing a couple of times a year and I believe that all passengers are required to book a cabin either a basic inside two-berth up to a de-luxe with private facilities and many other types in between. Depending which ship you are on it is at least a 20 hour crossing.

Actually they require accommodation but you can choose a fully reclining seat in a parlor that looks fairly nice online. The price is nearly half that of a cabin.

That's true, but if you are travelling overnight I was under the impression those seats are only available when all cabins are sold. They are very comfortable - we have used them often on day sailings.

Thanks, I will look into that. It is an option in purchasing a ticket. I assume they would have allowed me to purchase the ticket choosing the "seat only" option. So I am a little confused.

The online booking process is pretty clear and takes you step-by-step through the information needed to obtain a ticket and the onboard accommodation you want. It will towards the end of the process offer travel insurance - make sure you click the option you want. I always book online and print off an e-ticket.
