Hi,

I'm keen to visit Shifen’s waterfalls. How do I get there from Taipei?

What I've dug out so far is to get to Keelung Main Station (where to get the bus?). Then train from Keelung to Rueifang. Walk to waterfalls. Is this correct? Or are there any other way to go?

Interested in this too. I'll likely be there end of the month.

I am also curious to know the answer anyone else can share. I do not know the best way to visit Shifen's. It will be my first time.

To get to Shifen, you take the Pingshi Line from Rueifang. You can buy a Day Pass for the Pingshi line at the Station>
If you miss the timing in Shifen going to and fro from Rueifang by train, you can waste time waiting for the next train.

After Returning to Rueifang, you can go out of the station, across the road nest to the Convenience stop, you can take a bus -NTD22 and Visit Jioufen about 20 mins away-great local food, tea houses and scenery-worth the side trip. Later you can take a bus directly to Keelung from Jioufen and visit -Miakow night market before taking a bus (from outside the Train Station) Or a train back to Taipei-A really nice One day DIY Tour.
