You might get a better response if you posted a notice of a Meeting. See the VT Homepage for details of Meetings arranged by members.

Welcome to Brisbane! I am local and would be happy to join in any meet. Attractions you may want to see include South Bank Parklands, Roma Street Parklands, New Farm Park, Chinatown, Mt Coot-tha, Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, St John's Cathedral, Botanical Gardens, Movie World, Sea World, Dreamworld, Surfers Paradise, Glasshouse Mountains, Coolum, Noosa, Lamington National Park, O'Reilly's, and perhaps even a weekend away doing the Granite Belt wine route!
Have a great time!

Hi ulrike and welcome to VT. It would be much better if you would give us a few more details on your homepage. People are a bit slow to want to meet up with someone they know little about. As for things to do here in Brisbane, I think that Johan has done an excellent job in recommending all that he has.

Dont forget to try to get a trip to Fraser Island or Rainbow Beach, and HErvey Bay to see the whales. We have hosted quite a few German students and they all want to see Fraser Island. And on the way north you could stop off for a visit to Australia Zoo!
