No direct connections (but the travel agents will tell you otherwise, so beware). Train Agra - Gorakhpur. Bus to Saunali (Border India/Nepal) cross over to Nepal and catch a bus to Kathmandu. Long trip, takes 2 full days. Also the ride from the border to Kathmandu is very uncomfortable, because the busses are old, clapped out vehicles...

Hi,

The easier conection is to travel by train from Agra to Delhi and take a flight to Kathmandu,I do not know which part of the year you intend travelling but during mansoon and post mansoon the road condtion may not be exactly comfortable and therefore these two days of travle may not be very good

You could also catch the train from Agra to Varanasi and fly from there, Personally I would do as #1 suggests and take the train to Gorakhpur, Preferably a night train, then bus to the border at Saunali, overnight there on the Nepal side and take a day bus to Kathmandu, Also there are direct busses to Pokhara from Saunali, if you are also going to go there on your Nepal trip then it is easer to go to Pokhara first, then from there to Kathmandu as there are Good tourist busses on the Pokhara to Kathmandu leg
I have been to Nepal several times and have written up a lot of my personal experiences Including some ideas on Trekking, where to stay, eat, things to see and do + some tips on transport on
