Hi - I have just one day in Mumbai in a few weeks time and I really want to but some nice (and cheap) bedding - sheets, duvet covers etc. Can anyone suggest where to go as I do not have much time to shop around. Thanks.

Go to Dadar. There are lot of shops on Dadar (west), just outside the local train station. You may be able to find the kind of stuff you are looking for.

There are a numbar of places. depends where you are staying as u have only one day and you would not want to travel.
There is a chain of stores called wellspun. they do a good amount of bedding.

Try FabIndia for some really good stuff. They have a shop at Fort opposite the University building. But this will be expensive too. For cheaper options you can go to the shops in the three lanes outside the Dadar railway station on the Western side. There are a few shops where you will get them here too. Hope this helps.

You can go to crawford market for best deal for bedding items. You have to bargain for the same.

Go to the markets near any railway station. You will find many stalls selling these - cheap cotton bed covers, sheets, pillow cases. For duvet covers you may have to go to a proper shop as Mumbai weather does not make this a popular buy for obvious reasons. Santacruz, Dadar are good places to shop. If all else fails, try Big Bazaar household section, they are also cheap but may not have the variety you would get outside.
