| Hanoi | Cao Son market and Ecolodge? Posted: Mon July 7, 2008 04:52 AM UTC
I am planning to visit Vietnam in Jan 2009 with my exclassmates, all are male. We are keen on adventuring and trekking. I have read about Topas Ecolodge and Cao Son Ecolodge, it is quite new to me, especially Cao Son Ecolodge.
Plz advise me more info about this! Thanks in advance |

Two places about are off-the beaten ones. They are quite similar but Cao Son is geographical higher than Topas.
Topas is about 20-30km far from Sapa Town, Cao Son is about 60km. Topas is eco-lodge, hence, no tivi, no radio, no telephone. And its far from Sapa, you probably feel lonely staying there. You could book a tour to the nearby ethnic village such as Ho village. Service is professional cause it's Topas's. Cao Son is new Ecolodge thus a few tourist go there. It was build likes a house on stilts with basic condition. Cao Son ecolodge is located in a green beautiful palace, spending about 2 hours to go there is not a waste of time with many spectacular view enroute. From here, you could book a tour to Ngai Phong Cho (with traditional house of Colorful Mong ethnic), or go directly to Chay river port then boarding on the Chay village. Unfortunately, the road is in bad condition due to a water-electric factory construction. Service here is friendly and warm.
