| Washington D.C. | running in DC Posted: Sun July 6, 2008 11:55 PM UTC
I'll be going on a short trip to washington dc soon and I was wondering about places to run. I've read that it's actually fairly common to run around the mall, and I know there are a few parks. Still, I'm a bit concerned about safety... any recommendations? Thank you

Actually, last week when I was there, there were people running at 6:30 in the morning in the business area northwest of the White House, like 14th and I streets...at this time of year, it gets light early, and besides, there are so many people up at 6:30 on the way to the office (on foot, using the Metro), it's not like you're alone...
