I have tried on Google, but Greyhound doesn't seem to go from Santa Monica to Ventura. Does anyone know of another bus that does?

Hello,

There is no Greyhound STN at Ventura;

Take this route from: Greyhound STN Hollywood, CA to Greyhound STN Oxnard, CA (51 mi)

Transfer to Gold Coast Bus Transit Oxnard, CA; walk time to Bus STN less than 10 mins.

Walk Directions from: Greyhound STN 301 E 3rd St, Oxnard, CA 93030
To : Oxnard Transportation CTR 201 E 4TH ST Oxnard, CA 93030

1. Head west on E 3rd St toward S a St
2. Sharp left at W 3rd St
3. Turn right at S Oxnard Blvd
4. Turn left at E 4th St

From Oxnard Transportation Centre, take Route No 30X OTC-VTC Express (11 mi)

Yeah, just take the train. It'll be quicker and the station in Ventura is right Downtown.
It would probably be easiest to take the bus to Downtown LA from Santa Monica and then board the train at Union Station. You can catch it in the San Fernando Valley at a few stations, but it may be difficult to get up there from Santa Monica without several transfers, especially since Santa Monica has its own transit system.
