I have tried on Google, but Greyhound doesn't seem to go from Santa Monica to Ventura. Does anyone know of another bus that does?

Yeah, just take the train. It'll be quicker and the station in Ventura is right Downtown.
It would probably be easiest to take the bus to Downtown LA from Santa Monica and then board the train at Union Station. You can catch it in the San Fernando Valley at a few stations, but it may be difficult to get up there from Santa Monica without several transfers, especially since Santa Monica has its own transit system.
