Berlin Easyjet flights out of Berlin and accom
Posted: Sat July 5, 2008 11:25 PM UTC
We are wanting to be a bit flexible and leave our options open to fly Berlin Geneva on either Sun 27th or Mon 28th , depending on how much fun we are having - there are flights available on Easyjet on both days, but much cheaper on the Monday. My question is - do you think its best to make up our mind before we leave to europe on 17th July and look at the situation once there? Is is safe to just gamble on a stand by ticket - they may get expensive closer to departure. Any feedback appreciated.
Have tried Wotif of hotels , not bad between 55 and 75 euros, any other central accom recommended?
Do you have any comments on Easyjet generally - reliability etc
Thank you

Easyjet are fine - you get what you pay for which is no frills. Not much leg room & definately no free refreshments but yes they are reliable & generally on time. The earlier you book the cheaper the flight will be. Prices increase almost daily the closer you get to each flight departure date.

There are no stand-by tickets. The earlier you book the cheaper the tickets, once all the cheap tickets are sold you have to pay more. Only you can decide which you prefer, greater flexibility or cheaper tickets.
You can also check other low-budget airlines at www.whichbudget.com

Haven't you ever watched "Airline" on TV? That would turn anyone off flying EasyJet, but having said that, you get what you pay for, so if you want a cheap fare, you must expect there to be "No Frills". I flew EasyJet from London to Copenhagen once and had no complaints. Just be sure to get there in plenty of time and to have no more than 20kg (or whatever their limit is) in your stow away luggage. A few ounces over and you'll pay dearly. I believe they are getting worse now since the fuel has become so expensive, so be careful.

Weeknights on cable. The shows are about five years old, but we watch anyway.
Do you think that maybe EasyJet have improved their service in the past five years?

Easyjet are fine really. Airline deliberately show all the 'bad bits' to make the show more exciting. We also have a show called Airport which is all about the goings on at Heathrow.
