hi, i hope someone can help.i have recently been in touch with the above property with a view to staying for a few nights next march.they have requested a 50% deposit{total of £125} before they will reserve the room.
all was well until my son came home , he found it odd that they were requesting a large sum of money.
i then went to show him the website[whichi had found impressive!} and the web site expired yesterday{july 4th}.
there are only two reviews on this property and that is the trip advisor ones.they both give excellent reviews.
help, can anyone assist please? laney

www.raahi.com
is also a good site to check for reliable hotel reviews.

Check whether any review is available on this hotel else provide me with full address, I will try to locate it.

I Hope that this all works out OK for you Elaine !! Personally, I Never give any money in advance (Easy for me to say now !!) as it always puts you in a position of weakness when you arrive, you tend to get fobbed of with the worst of the rooms as they know they already have a chunk of your money !!
I am Sure that this situation will resolve itself somehow – But don’t send any more deposits off !!
If by chance this does turn out to be a scam then let everyone on here and Thorntrees know about it and then maybe try The Smyle Inn in Delhi to stay – I booked them for my last years India trip on the net – No Deposit and No problems – they also do a reliable airport pick-up that saves you a lot of hassles too !!
Details on The Smyle Inn are on my India accommodation tips
I Hope that helps but if you need more info then drop me a line
Happy Travels
Rob

I agree with the post above. Don't pay a deposit. There are lots of good places in Delhi, that will accept a reservation without it...

Yeah.. this sounds ridiculous! No hotel generally requires a deposit, and such a huge amount at that. Check out other hotels - there are lots of them around :)

Good luck with your trip.
