London O2 areana to heathrow.
Posted: Sat July 5, 2008 11:53 AM UTC
I'm going to a concert in the o2 arena in canary wharf on thur 17th july. I need to get back to heathrow for early flight (0630) next morning. i guess the concert will finish about 2300hrs. What is the best way to get back to the heathrow area at that time. I'm guessing it would be better to head back and get a hotel near airport rather than get hotel in center of london and have to make my way back next morning to heathrow. Is there a tube running around midnight. Any help would be appreciated

Thx D

Here is one solution...

Go to the North Greenwich tube station which is 3minutes walk from the Dome and take the Jubilee line to Waterloo Station (6 stops). Then take the train to Feltham which is near Heathrow. Here you have two options. Either a room in the St Giles Hotel next to the station or take the bus from outside the station Heathrow and spend the next few hours there. St Giles is a budget airport hotel full of people spending their last night before early flights.

The last train from Waterloo to Feltham leaves at 23.58 and takes 30mins.

You probably know this but just in case you do not, the stop for the 02 arena is North Greenwich on the Jubilee Line. It is not Canary Wharf. The 02 arena is in Greenwich, not Canary Wharf.
