| Torino | Changing ttrains and stations in Torino Posted: Sat July 5, 2008 10:46 AM UTC
I plan to arrive in Torino by train from Paris, at Porta Susa at 13:17 and then leave from Porta Nuovo for Savona at 14.00 on the same afternoon.
Can someone tell me please how far these stations are apart and what are the options/costs for transport between them. THanks so much Roger New ZEaland |

If you are not overburdened by luggage you could walk this in about 10-15 minutes.
Otherwise there's streetcar service or taxis.

Yep.
For a visual clue, go to www.viamichelin.com and enter "Italy", "Porta Susa" and "Torino" as your starting point, and "Italy", "Porta Nuova" (note the spelling), and "Torino" for your destination...also, click on Options and choose "pedestrian". You will see the suggested route on foot... I think that dnw is right about the taxi...given that you have less than 45 minutes and presuming that you have luggage, I think having the driver take you and your stuff straight to the other station with your luggage makes the most sense... Note that the regional train to Savona leaves on the hour from Porta Nuova, so even if you miss the 14:00 one, you should be able to take the one at 15:00...hmmmn, I am getting some very strange schedules for this route (varying day to day on weekdays, which is quite unusual)...I wonder if Monday or Tuesday of next week are some sort of national holiday...well, what day are you going? Thanks for the detailed info. That's great.
I will be making the trip on a Wednesday, 24th September. I had noticed a later train at 1500 so there is a good back up. Just want to get to Savona (or in fact Spotorno-Noli just beyond Savona) as early as possible and the 1400 train does not involve a change in Savona. Cheers Roger

1 euro and 5 minutes.
this take the new underground from Porta Susa station to Porta Nuova station. If you want the luxury option take a cab for around 8 euro and a 5 minute ride. ciao. marco
