Where is the best place to people watch in Central Park? Is there a park entrance near the Natural History Museum that is good, with a park bench to sit on? How about the east side, near the Met?

Just plant yourself on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum, probably the best people-watching spot around.

Also, walk into the park behind the museum, where you'll find the Great Lawn in mid-park. There are baseball diamonds on the lawn, and a path circling it with lots of benches. On the south end is Turtle Pond, which also has a nice lawn to stretch out on, and above it is Belvedere Castle, which has great park views.

Really, you won't have any difficulty finding a bench anywhere in Central Park!

Go the Central Park Fountain area to check out people moving about town. You may also see a wedding, a movie shoot, skateboarders going down stairs, musicians, and a lot more.

My favourite spot is Strawberry Fields which is close to the Natural History Museum. In fact it was my favourite activity to people watch in New York
