Train is good (there is maybe one change) but you can get a sleeper. As ever see the man in seat 61 or look here: http://bahn.hafas.de/

You will need to take a French train from Paris to Irun then a Spanish train from Irun to Pamplona. www.voyages-sncf.com for the information or the websites already mentioned. Reservations are essential Paris -Irun. The journey is between 6 and hours.
One issue will be that there are only three direct trains each day between Irun and Pamplona, at 1030, 1735 and 2240 taking just over 2 hours for the run. There are possibilities to travel Irun - Pamplona with a change at San Sebstatian/Donostia but the wait can be up to 7 hours (!!) between trains. Hope that helps.

If you get the TGV from Paris Montparnasse at 10.10am it will get you to Irun at at 15.40hrs. this will give you a two hour wait for your connection to Pamplona at 17.35hrs.
