| Middle East | Turkey advice Posted: Fri July 4, 2008 08:19 AM UTC
I would like to go to Turkey and would be travelling from Scotland to Bodrum or Dalaman airport. Don't like long tranfers but want to be in an area with plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Would like apartment or a hotel with private sunloungers on balcony or roof terrace. Is ther anyone out there that can give me some advice. Would also be great to have a sea view.
Thanks jayjay19 |

I stayed in hotel Kulube in Kalkan two years ago and it was amazing. Transfer from Dalaman airport to Kalkan - a beautiful town with amazing restaurants - is about two hours but the transfer is totally worth it. Kulube is right by the sea, great rooms, great food, great pool, and you can dive right off the piers into the sea. Highly recommended.

Fethiye or Oludeniz seem a better choice, cheaper, 45 minutes away from the airport at Dalaman, shuttle bus from the airport.

Thanks Tdiver. I was considering that area. Still looking for accomodation with sunbeds in balcony or roof terrace. Don't mind having to pay a bit extra to get that but can't see any hotels that have them.
