Da Nang to Hanoi

Pls help. My husband will be in Da Nang on july 14. He plans to go to hanoi on the 16th. Whats the cheapest way to get there? is it also possible to travel by land to get to hanoi from da nang? How long is the travel time if ever?

The cheapest would be by bus, but it would also take the longest (20 hours). You can also take the train, but it also takes a lot of time. I would fly. Takes 1 hour and costs $71USD.

Or you can try Jetstar, cheapest price at the moment is US31 one way, load better than spending all that time on a train or bus

I just returned from a trip to the French Indo-China. Hanoi can be reached by train from Danang. I and my nephew took the SE night train from Hanoi to Hue last June 5, 2008 and it took us 12 hours to reach our destination. From Hue to Danang, the trip takes about 2.5 hours to 4 hours.
