I understand that you can but there are concerns about the welfare of the dolphins

i heard that the animals conditions were very poor, although to the general public it may look ok, other factors state that the condtions are too small, and the animals cannot swim properly. i have been to sharm 4 times, i go again in 5 days, but i will not go, i would be too scared to see suffering. look, you are in sharm, there are wild dolphins all around you in the red sea, my family went on a boat trip to tiran island, and the dolphins were swimming and jumping up to the boat, much more humane that in captivity....it is your own choice of course, but i personally would not recommend it.

Yes, it was amazing! I booked a 'swim' for after the evening show, having seen the show before, a swim was all I wanted at the time. I booked it through our Thomas Cook Rep as it was only our first time in Sharm. It cost around £50 (english) just for a swim but was was worth every penny. You need to wear swimwear with no sharp decorations and all my jewellery had to be removed, even my wedding ring, we were given life jackets and I was extremely lucky to have a dolphin all to myself. There were 3 dolphins in the pool and 6 people there to swim.
My husband was at the other side of the pool, camera at the ready, and he used a full film of me in there. We also bought a video of the experience for £14 which was delivered to our hotel the next day, it was a mixture of all the people in the pool but there was plenty shots of me and 'my' dolphin Marsha. The experience left me emotional and ecstatic. Truly amazing, just do it whatever the cost. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did. ps The cost didn't include transport to the dolphinarium, we had a taxi then returned to Naama Bay for a meal, but not advisable as all I could smell was fishy water from the swim (even after quick shower in the changing room) Fantastic not-to-be-missed experience.
