Dear JessH, 37SingleMaleInDubai and amhd, A very belated thank you to you all for your helpful answers to my post of several months ago; sorry it took me so long to get back to you!
I don't know if anyone else has had this problem, but when I sign onto the Dubai forum, I get two different options to choose from. After I posted my question, I was surprised when I signed back in again to see that my question had apparently disappeared (I'm sure that I must have posted on one option and was looking for my answer on the other). I thought that I must have made some mistake in posting it. Is anyone else out there as computer-illiterate as I am, or what? Again, thanks to everyone on this forum for the great advice (now, if I can only figure out how to access it!)!

Well, obviously I was not the one to help with your Dubai related questions, but I can tell you the easiest way to get back to your forum questions.

Go to 'your' homepage.
Under your profile picture, there are links to 'forum postings', 'comments', 'friends', etc.

if you follow the link to forum postings, you will see the most recent forums that you have been involved in, both posting and receiving replies.

Many of the travel forums have this, for example:
USA - New York - New York City.

The forum lists the state, region or emirate, and then the city.
So:
United Arab Emirates (country) -> Dubai (emirate) -> Dubai (city).

Best to do as advised above, or simply always go into the United Arab Emirates forum. In there, all of the Dubai postings will show.

You are most welcome. I think Jess cleared it out, First Dubai is the Emirates name and the second is the city of Dubai :-) Eventhough its not a big country!!
