I plan to leave Giardino-Naxos on Sicily for Malta on Friday, October 3rd. I am trying to find an easy and moderately priced one-way transportation mode to Malta. The airline info which I got shows 2 change plane/stops with 6:00 hrs. plus travel time; 1 stop/plane change flights cost $300.-plus . So I am looking for ferry services; I found only Virtu Ferries which takes less than 1 1/2 hours; one in the morning and one in the evening at less than $ 100.00. Unfortunately they only seem to be leaving on that day from Pozallo.

I have two questions: 1. Are there other ferry services? 2. How do I get from Giardino-Naxos to Pozallo?

Hi Henry,
I live in Ragusa, which is where you would go on your way to Pozzallo.
You should take a bus from Giardini -Naxos to Ragusa and then to Pozzallo.
Or you could go from Giardini-Naxos to Catania Airport and from there to Pozzallo.

As far as i know that is the only port here with ferries to Malta.
I have checked Virtu Ferries site and it appears that you can leave from Catania also. http://www.virtuferries.com/
I also found that Grandi Navi Veloci has ferries to Malta www.gnv.it
