I have a very short stay in saigon. I would like to ask if its better to get a one day mekong delta tour and one day cuchi/cao dai tour than getting a 2 day mekong delta tour and a half day cuchi tour?

What do you guys think? do you think one day in mekong delta is enough?

Better give Mekong one day and one day for Cu Chi. Cu Chi is out of town, tour include a video presentation and you will have to wait for an English speaking guide.

I would do the two day mekong delta tour, the two day tour allows you to see the floating markets which is definitely worth seeing.

Yes, the floating markets start early. So if you do a 1 night/2 day Mekong Delta tour you are already close enough to have breakfast & see the floating markets the next morning. Half day Cu Chi would be OK, but you would miss the Cao Dai Temple, also nearby and worth a look if you can spare a whole day to do both.

I would go to cuchi tunnel/cao dai for a full a day tour. My husband and I did this and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is something you can see only here, and you really want to see both. As for the one day Mekong, we did that, and were disappointed. The markets had long finished by the time the tour arrived there. Floating markets can be seen in other places in asia, and you do have to be early. See more info on my travel pages.

We took the day tour to Mekong Delta for US $18 and were satisfied with that, did not feel we needed overnight stay.

You only need ONE day on the Mekong Delta. Everything looks the same. Don't get me wrong, it was a great trip and enlightening but one day is fine.
