There are many excellent options if you don't mind taking efficient and cheap public transport to get there. Do you need a hotel or would you consider private accomodations ?

The hotel I stayed in was perfectly ok.

The Hotel Tivoli.My tip here:

3 nights in November (single room) 135 euros.

Look at www.booking.com for Prague hotels (I booked through them). There's a lot of choice for November in your price range.

OK I'm probably stating the obvious but try Ibis - good clean and basic.

Just the other day I suggested to stay on one of the Botels - hotel ships on the river. Please check out the accommodation question on the VT forum. I had posted several links there.

I stayed at the City Crown Hotel.

Extremely comfortable very small hotel. Staff fabulously friendly and helpful. It is a real home away from home. Would recommend highly to anyone who is looking for budget accommodation but likes it to be clean and functional.

Unique Qualities: Tea and coffee with an array of fabulous shortbreads are available in the reception area all day free of charge. Breakfast is plentiful and if the weather is warm as it was for us you can take it to the lovely outdoor area to eat. Hotel is situated in the suburbs but transport is relatively simple if you don't mind walking up a hill from the tramstop. Some interesting and reasonably priced eateries nearby. www.bookings.com

You could do as I do, and stay with Toni and Helena Hradecky in their apartment on the outskirts of Prague. Bed and Breakfast for about 20 euros anight. No e-mail address (coming soon), but if you are interested I can let you have a telephone number, or address to write to.
