I don't know but try www.whereis.com.au

You can get directions between the two addresses and it will tell you how far it is.

I should think it's safe for anyone in Canberra. Not a dangerous city.

Kingston and Learmonth Drive, Kambah are about 20 mins car drive apart. Canberra is only serviced by buses and taxis. Buses can be a bit erratic - you will probably have to change at least once - which adds to the time - but there are lots of buses through Kingston and Learmonth has bus stops all along it.
Canberra is very safe city - Australia in general is multi-cultural and we have people from many nations who come here to study. There are many community / social groups who will welcome you and help you.

Thank you both of you.I am back from my trip and loved the place.I stayed at a place called Edwil house in kambah and it is good.
I am now looking for cheaper accomodation since I am going with my children and need three weeks of accomodation.

Hi Veepu. You probably have all the information you need by now, but in case not...

Kingston is a little far compared to some other options. We stayed in an apartment run by these people http://www.canbhol.com.au/ and were happy with the low price and excellent service, but the nearest thing they have for you is in Chifley, which is still two buses from Learmonth. At least the taxi will be cheaper than from Kingston.

Learmonth Drive is close to Tuggeranong Town Centre, which is well serviced by buses and you could even walk to Learmonth in about 20 minutes (though probably too far for kids to walk), plus there is at least one hotel in Tuggeranong Town Centre.

You could also try reading the ads and/or posting your own ad for short-term accommodation at http://canberra.gumtree.com.au/f-Unit-House-Real-Estate-short-term-W0QQCatIdZ18295

I agree with the others that you should have no special concern about moving in Canberra alone. Your kids will like the Kambah area as there is lots of open space and playgrounds. Plus the Tuggeranong mall (!!)
