Hello
Has anyone been to a performance at this theatre? What is the interior like? Is it old or modern, large or small. Can't find a picture of the auditorium so would like a description please. A group of us will be visiting Budapest again, later in the year. We can go to the Opera House or to an opera being staged at the Thalia theatre. Thanks G. |

It was built as a music-hall in 1913 , in 1998 a totally modernisation occured, a high-tech stage technique was built in, but the inner spaces held their original secessionist, art deco character, the number of seats cca. 500, a nice place on the so-called "Pesti Broadway". That is all I can tell you.
