Hi I am a South African Passport holder going to Turkey in July. Want to take the ferry to Rhodes for the day and want to know if I need a visa????
If I need to get a schengen how do I do this if I am not actually staying in Greece? Can anyone help |

Yes, you do need a Schengen visa, even if you are just visiting for one day.
How can go do this : the answer is probably not at all. In theory you could try and apply at the Greek embassy for a one day visa, showing your ferry tickets as proof of planned departure, but IMO they probably won't acept that as sufficient. But if you can spare the visa applycation fee, there is no harm in trying.

For Turkish citizens you do not need a visa for short trips to some Greece islands, i don't know if it applies to Rhodes or not.
If you have diplomatic passport you do not need visa.
