Can anyone tell me if it is possible to take a lift down to the mine? I have read that there is a lift at the end of the visit but can this be used if someone can't manage the stairs?

It is probably possible if you ask, but you should know that there are a lot of stairs inside the actual mine. It keeps going up and down, some flights of stairs are pretty long. There might be a special visit for the disabled though, I don't know...

For sure it's possible !! Before going down u should tell that u can't go down by stairs and for free u could use lift. Sometimes they want 240zl for going down by lift but if u are sick or have something wrong with legs u could use it for free !!
