alone in london

back in march my girlfriend and i schedule are vacation in london for july 5-12. however, we are no longer together. this will be my first time to london and was wondering if anyone else was traveling solo and wanted to hook up to see the sights.

i will be staying at the Sheraton Park Towers and was also what would be the best mode of transportation from the airport?

Right, your options are listed here:

Heathrow Express is fastest but most expensive (apart from taxis, which will probably take longer anyway). Tube is cheapest and slowest (though coaches can be slow if there is traffic congestion, and there often is).

Then if you put your arrival station and hotel postcode into:

http://journeyplanner.tfl.gov.uk/user/XSLT_TRIP_REQUEST2?language=en

it will tell you how to get there.

Nearest Tube station is Knightsbridge, hotel location/getting there details here:

without doubt the best combination of price and convenience is a pre-booked minicab. Much cheaper than a london taxi. For all the options see:
