Bohol (Tagbilaran) is 2-hour ferry ride (fast craft) from Cebu. Upon docking at Tagbilaran port, there are "touts" offering countryside tours ranging from P2300-P2700 depending on the type of vehicle (car or van). Try to haggle. The tour will bring you to about 7 scenic spots within Bohol including Chocolate Hills and Loboc River. The cost of lunch at Loboc River is not included in the tour package, you have to pay separately for it.

If you like to stay in Panglao, along Alona Beach, Playa Blanca which is cottage-type accom is reasonably priced. You may also browse the Bohol pages of VT moonlighting for other accom.

Nyen, Panglao is also in Bohol, connected to Tagbilaran by a causeway (or bridge), about 30 mins travel time. If you rent a van for your countryside tour, tell the driver to drop you at the end of the trip in Panglao. Its famous coastline is Alona Beach dotted by several resorts.

If you want to go swimming, snorkeling or have plans of island hopping and diving, I would suggest staying in Panglao, though it doesn't have a nightlife. If you can't find a resort that will fit your budget, you can stay in Tagbilaran and just do a day trip to Panglao.

In the past, Metro Convention(?) Hotel in Tagbilaran offers a "combo" promo. If you stay at their hotel, you can have a day trip to Panglao Nature Resort for only P150/head consummable.

Hi, been in Bohol just last week and I'm having so much fun with my friends and colleagues. We stayed at Bohol Beach Club. Yes it's quite expensive but i think it's worth it. The place is SWEET! The beach is FABULOUS!
We had a great tour guide/driver for our tour, Spencer. +639285484881. We actually got his number from one forum in the net and his got the best recommendations amongst all and he really is! You may visit his website. It's www.boholspencertours.com.
You may also get some driver at pier and may probably get a cheaper ones but i think it would be very risky. Taxis are also available in the City but you have to pay double of the meter if you go outside the City. Tricycles are also cheap but it's going to consume a lot of time because they run slow.
You do need a van if your only 7 people and below.Spencer may offer you the Innova. We actually used it since we're only 6.
I Say Bohol is blessed with nature and of good, friendly and hospitable people but... NO NIGHT LIFE. Enjoy though!

Hi,

you might want to try our sort of "guide". Saw her name in some forums here and other site. Her name is tata, she arranged everything for us the van, land tour, dolphin watching, she even offered to arranged hotel accomodation but I have already covered that part.

She charges very reasonably. We even have a guide during our land tour kaya medyo masaya din. Try to add her in your YM, tatarabe I lost her number but I think she's online daily just leave an offline message so that she can contact you. :)

hi there, i am planing again to pay a visit bohol this coming 28 -29 this month with a friend, i have been in bohol last feb and i stayed in bohol beach club, get a beach front room(it was spectacular view) and i love the place for the sand is so white that i even put it on my face and massage it like a face powder(hahahah), but if you book online(ahead of your arrival day) on bohol beach club, you may get low rates, and it is really a paradise to stay.. well, am here again online to find econowise room accomodations/tour packages for two persons only for atleast 2nights and 3days.. well, good luck to you itenarary!
